I am very pleased to be able to tell you that the Regional Medical Officer of Health (MOH) has declared the COVID-19 Outbreak over at Tudor House. This is because of no transmission of illness occurring in the personal care home over a 28-day-period since the last (and only) case of COVID-19 was resolved.

In this update, we outline our expectations of designated family caregivers moving forward knowing that COVID-19 is still circulating in our communities and that all personal care homes in Manitoba remain in Code Red status under the Pandemic Response System at this time. Most of our residents have had the first dose of the vaccine and this gives us all some comfort but we still need to be careful and keep appropriate precautions in place to protect our residents and staff.

On behalf of the Staff at Tudor House, I would like to thank all of our families and friends for their understanding, their kind words and for their compassion during what has been a difficult time for all of us. They are a great Team! We look forward to seeing all of you very soon.

A special “Thank You” goes to all our friends at the Interlake-Eastern RHA for all their support and assistance during the Outbreak. We could not have got through it without your help. It is a pleasure being a part of the IERHA in providing health services to seniors  our community.
